Almost all family law attorneys charge you an hourly rate for everything they do in your case.
Typically for an expert in family law those fees are between $500.00 to $750.00 per hour. And almost all family law lawyers charge you the same hourly rate no matter what they do in your case.
We have a different approach to attorney fees, where base our fees on the difficulty of the work we are doing for you. Preparing and attending events in Court is stressful and requires our full legal experience and training, that work is worth $500.00 per hour. BUT, talking to you on the phone, or drafting a document or attending mediation or depositions are not worth $500.00 per hour.
So, we have created a billing system that more accurately charges you what those various activities should cost you as our client. As a result, you get a bill that is more sensible that you get with a lot of other family law attorneys.
Here is our Fee Schedule for Gary E. Williams, Attorney at Law:
- $500.00 per hour all Court appearances.
- $400.00 per hour for Mediations and Depositions.
- $375.00 per hour for meetings with Client or 3rd party(s).
- $350.00 Legal research and the review or drafting of documents.
- $300.00 per hour for misc. or other work.
- Paralegal and Legal Assistants are billed between $100 - $175 per hour
